Solomon was founded in 1973, it was the first electronic components sales agency in Taiwan. Currently it is a listed company and one of the top 200 technology companies in Taiwan. Solomon started its business in three main areas: power generators, electronic components, and welding equipment; in 1984, Solomon became the official distributor for Cummins, the world´s largest professional heavy-duty diesel engine manufacturer. In 1989, Solomon entered Liquid Crystal Display business. In 1994, Solomon built a headquarter in Nangkang, Taipei. In the meantime, Solomon expanded its business into other fields such as semiconductor (TM Tech and UTC) and battery (NiMH battery in corporation with Toshiba).
